Hypochondria

swirling mists and subterfuge - paranoid as sin -
and nothing's gonna bring me back again -
telling me it's just a phase. thinking that i'm dumb.
then you say it's hypochondria.

show me in my dreams-
am i cold, or alive?

in my dreams i'm warm.
stand against the storm.
when tomorrow arrives i will die.

blinded by the deaf and dumb.
a wink and then i'm gone.
hidden in the cobwebs of the dawn.

promised me it's just a phase.
a myth in which i'm lost.
and then you beat me like a dog.

lightly in my sleep-
am i dead or denied?

in my dreams i'm lost and can't afford the cost.
when tomorrow comes i'll be done.
